My title’s a little melodramatic, but the sentiment is real. If you’re one of my readers that goes way back, you probably already know what I’m talking about.
Nicki Sosebee.
At the very end of the final book, Front Page News, I explain why I started writing the Nicki Sosebee series. Her character was, believe it or not, inspired by Nancy Drew—kind of like, “What would Nancy Drew be like if she wasn’t rich, if Ned was her unrequited lust, and if she was bad ass in her own way?” (Oh, and, by the way, what if Ned were also bad ass, rode a Harley, and didn’t give a shit what fork to use at the dinner table?)
And here we are at the end.
Nicki’s been like a friend to me all these years, and I’m sad to see her go—but if you’ve been reading her stories all along, I know you’re going to love the ending. I’m so sorry I made you wait, but the wait will be worth it. PROMISE!
If you’ve never read Nicki before, now’s your chance! With the relaunch of the series, all the books will be 99 cents until the release of the last book. If you’re just waiting for that last book, it comes out October 23, less than three weeks away!
You can check out the entire series—along with the last book—here in the Nicki Sosebee Stories series. Oh, and one of the books will be free when you check it out!
What do you think will happen in the last book?
